Connie and Bill completed a successful trip to San Francisco to present at the 2011 Annual Conference of the American Society on Aging. It is a national conference and CHUG was approached to participate. We were the only representatives focusing on evacuation and emergency planning and spoke to over 20 attendees in the workshop from all over the country. The class was called "A Scalable Emergency Preparedness Program for Vulnerable Populations."
CHUG also applied for and attended the Integrated Medical, Public Health, Preparedness and Response Training Summit in Grapevine, Texas. Connie and Bill were in attendence with a Poster Presentation at the event.
